For more than four decades, Greg Thompson has built a career around one simple idea: bring people together and give them a great show.

An entertainer, emcee, DJ, producer, talent agent, and entrepreneur, Greg began performing professionally as a teenager and has spent his life working both in the spotlight and behind the scenes. His career has taken him from radio and live entertainment to theme parks, cruise ships, conventions, festivals, theatrical productions, and special events across the country.

Greg's credits include performing and entertaining for Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Medieval Times, Commodore Cruise Lines, and numerous corporate and special events. His experience also includes national television appearances and years as a professional master of ceremonies.

From 1995 to 1999, Greg performed at Medieval Times in Myrtle Beach, where audiences knew him as Sir Gregory Del Norte. He has also entertained generations of fair and festival audiences with comedy and music, including his work with Them Sweeney Boys.

But performing has always been only one side of Greg's career.

Greg has spent decades creating, producing, marketing, and promoting entertainment of his own.

In 2004, he founded The Sunburst Convention of Celebrity Impersonators, an event that brings together celebrity impersonators, tribute artists, look-alikes, agents, producers, and entertainment buyers from around the world. Sunburst has become one of Greg's signature productions and returns to Orlando in September 2026.

That same year, Greg founded The Santa Company, providing professional Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and Christmas entertainment for private, corporate, and special events. The company has grown into a major source for professional Christmas entertainment in Florida and has expanded into professional education and training for Christmas performers.

Greg is also the owner and operator of Brown Street Station, a special-events and performance venue in Chadbourn, North Carolina. The venue hosts concerts, tribute shows, comedy, community gatherings, private events, and original productions while helping bring live entertainment to the heart of a small Southern town.

His other entertainment ventures and characters include Karaoke Showtime, Cracker Jack – The Banjo Playing Cowboy, Disco Dan the Boogie Man, and a variety of live shows, tribute productions, interactive entertainment concepts, and special events.

Greg's work extends beyond the stage into marketing, promotion, talent booking, event production, and social media. He has worked with fairs, festivals, theaters, attractions, entertainers, and community organizations to create events that don't simply attract an audience—they give people something to remember.

After decades in entertainment, Greg has no interest in slowing down.

Whether he's standing behind a microphone, producing a theatrical event, developing a new entertainment concept, promoting a festival, booking talent, or walking into a room as one of his colorful characters, Greg remains happiest when he's creating an experience for an audience.

His career has never followed just one path. He's been the performer, the producer, the promoter, the agent, the DJ, the entrepreneur—and sometimes all of them at once.
